Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of riversnap.com (the "Site"), operated by Riversnap ("riversnap," "we," "us," or "our"), including joining our waitlist. By using the Site or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your information. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site is a pre-launch page. It describes a product that has not launched yet and lets you express interest by joining a waitlist. These Terms cover the Site and the waitlist only; they are not the agreement that will govern the riversnap partner program itself (see Section 4).
1. Who may use the Site
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to join the waitlist. If you use the Site on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" includes that entity.
2. The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free. You agree to provide a valid email address that you control; any optional information you choose to add (for example, a company name) must be accurate. Please join once per person. We may decline, remove, or consolidate entries that we reasonably believe are duplicates, automated, fraudulent, or abusive, and we may record a referral identifier if you arrive through a referral link.
By joining, you opt in to a confirmation email and updates about riversnap, including when and how claiming opens. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing also serves as a request to leave the waitlist, as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. What joining the waitlist does not do
The waitlist is an expression of interest, not a purchase, reservation, or contract for the product. Specifically:
- Joining does not guarantee you access to the product, a place in any batch, or the availability of any particular store. We intend to honor waitlist order when claiming opens, but we do not guarantee it in every circumstance.
- Batch-open dates shown on the Site are targets. We may change, delay, or cancel a batch, or the launch itself, at any time.
- Descriptions of the product on the Site (including how stores, profit sharing, and operations will work) are forward-looking and may change before or after launch.
- Joining the waitlist does not create an offer of employment, a partnership, a joint venture, a franchise, or an investment or security of any kind.
4. The partner program comes later, under its own agreement
If and when you claim a store, your participation in the riversnap partner program will be governed by a separate written partner agreement presented to you at that time, covering matters such as independent-contractor status, the profit split, payouts, content standards, and termination. If those terms conflict with these Terms, the partner agreement governs the program. Nothing on the Site or in these Terms obligates you to enter that agreement, or obligates us to offer it to you.
riversnap partners are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or franchisees of riversnap. Individual results vary; no earnings are guaranteed, and nothing on the Site is a promise of income.
5. Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- use the Site in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- submit false, misleading, or impersonating information, or join the waitlist with an email address you do not control;
- use bots, scripts, or other automated means to access the Site, submit forms, or scrape or harvest content or data;
- probe, disable, overburden, or interfere with the Site, its security features (including our anti-spam measures), or any connected systems; or
- misrepresent an affiliation with riversnap or use the Site to promote another product or service.
6. Intellectual property
The Site and everything on it (including the riversnap name and wordmark, text, graphics, designs, and software) are owned by riversnap or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the Site for your personal, non-commercial use. No other rights are granted. Example storefronts and brands shown on the Site are illustrative.
7. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or other feedback about riversnap, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it without restriction or compensation to you. We may use feedback or not, at our discretion.
8. Third-party services and links
The Site may link to or rely on third-party websites and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices, and a link does not imply our endorsement.
9. Disclaimers
THE SITE AND THE WAITLIST ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any product, batch, store, or feature described on the Site will become available.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIVERSNAP AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE OR THE WAITLIST, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE SAME EXTENT, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE OR THE WAITLIST WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold riversnap harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site, to the extent caused by you.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or remove your waitlist entry at any time, with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may leave the waitlist at any time by unsubscribing from our emails or contacting us at hello@riversnap.com. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 6, 7, and 9 through 15) survive termination.
13. Changes to the Site and these Terms
We may change or discontinue the Site (or any part of it) at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; if we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate or required, notify you by email or through the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits rights you may have under mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live.
15. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and riversnap about the Site and the waitlist, and they supersede any prior understandings on that subject. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Section headings are for convenience only.
